CUBO RUBIK

Someday ago in Budapest, Hungary,
a boy called Erno Rubik was born in july the 3rd, 1974, he was a kid who grew
and grew and decided to study to be an engineer, and at his 23 years old the decided to study
to be an architect and sculptor at the Applied Arts Academy in Budapest.
Un día del pasado en
Budapest, Hungría, un muchacho llamado Erno Rubik nació el tres de julio, el
era un niño que creció y crecio y decidió estudiar para ser un ingeniero, a sus
23 años el decidió estudiar para ser un arquitecto y escultor en la Academia de
Artes Aplicadas en Budapest.
One day in 1974 he decided
to make a block, each side had one
color divided into nine small squares of
the same color, the body of the block had aproximately 54 colours divided in it´s
six sides.
Un día en 1974 él decidió
hacer un cubo, cada lado tenía un color dividido en nueve pequeños cuadrados
del mismo color, el cuerpo del cubo tenía aproximadamente 54 colores dividido
en sus seis lados.
The idea was and is to have
all the nine squares of the same colour each side. The colours are red, blue,
green, yellow, orange and white.
La idea era y es tener todos
los nueve cuadrados del mismo color cada lado. Los colores son rojo, azul,
verde, amarillo, naranja y blanco.
People who used to study
maths at the univesities, decided to solve this game with formulas.
Las personas quienes solían
estudiar matemáticas en las Universidades, decidieron resolver este juego con
fórmulas.
In 1977 Erno, decided at
last to make a deal with a toy Enterprise called Ideal Toys so the Factory
could make the rubik block for millions. At that year Erno also decided to get
married.
En 1977 Erno, decidió al fin
hacer un trato con una empresa de juguetes llamada Juguetes Ideales de tal
forma de la fábrica podría hacer el cubo rubik por millones. En aquel año Erno
también decidió casarse.
Three years later like in
1980 Erno Rubik used to make cross
games, because he turned very rich in Hungria that he did not need to work hard
anymore, besides he turn very famous because his toy was in many cities like,
New York , Paris, London.
Tres años después como en
1980 Erno Rubik solía hacer crucigramas, porque se torno muy rico en Hungría
que el no necesitó trabajar mucho nunca más, además el se volvió muy famoso
porque su juguete estaba en muchas ciudades como Nueva York, París, Londres.
Nowadays this rubik block is
in every part of the world, not only the originals but also the ones made in many countries like China.
En la actualidad este cubo
rubik está en cada parte del mundo, nó sólo los originales pero también los que
fueron hechos en muchos países como China.
Every single year there are
rubik contests in which children, youngsters and adult people participate in
order to find the fastest person in the world to make the rubic block, there
are people that make the rubik block with eyes closed, with both hands, with
one hand and even with the feet.
Cada año hay muchos
concursos de rubik en los cuales los niños, adolescentes y adultos participan
con el fin encontrar a la persona más rápida en el mundo para hacer el cubo
rubik, hay mucha gente que hace el cubo rubik con los ojos cerrados, con ambas
manos, con una mano e incluso con los pies.
The matemathicians for
example tried to solve the rubik block with algoritms, there is even a girl
called Jessica Fridrick who made a method to make the rubik block, she is
from the Check Republic.
Los matemáticos por ejemplo
trataron de resolver los cubos rubik con algoritmos, hay incluso una muchacha
llamada Jessica Fridrick quien hizo un método para hacerel cubo rubik, ella es
de la República Checa.
There are many
types of rubik blocks two times two, four times four, five times five, six
times six, seven times seven, eight times eight, nine times nine, ten times ten, eleven times eleven, thirteen
times thirteen., in 2009 for example Erno made a rubik sphere
Hay muchos tipos
de cubos rubik de dos por dos, cuatro por cuatro, cinco por cinco. Seis por
seis, siete por siete, ocho por ocho, nueve por nueve, diez por diez, once por
once, trece por trece, en el 2009 por ejemplo Erno hizo una esfera rubik.
Included those types of
rubik blocks there are in the world at least three hundred fifty million rubik
blocks sold all over the world.
Incluso aquellos tipos de
cubos rubik hay en el mundo por lo menos trescientos cincuenta millones de
cubos rubik vendidos por todo el mundo.
It is said that Larry
Nicholls a Chemist who studied in Harvard invented the two times two block with
magnetic devices in 1972, two years before Erno, anyway, this block is famous
for the last name of the second inventor.
Se dice que Larry Nichols un
Quimico quien estudio en Harvard inventó el cubo de dos por dos con
dispositivos magnéticos en 1972, dos años antes que Erno, de todos modos este
cubo es famoso por el apellido del segundo inventor.
